Outreach

Programmes that include a next step.

UCF’s community work is education and organised screening. A programme is announced with a date only when staff and follow-up are in place.

Cancer screening

Awareness and organised screening where a test is appropriate — oral examination for tobacco users, cervical screening, and clinical advice on breast checks. A camp date will be published only when staff, place, and follow-up for abnormal results are arranged. Screening without a path for diagnosis is not a UCF activity.

Tobacco control

Tobacco and areca nut drive a large share of oral, lung, and head and neck cancers in this region. UCF’s education points people to cessation, including the national quitline 1800-11-2356, and supports school and community sessions that do not lecture without a way to get help.

HPV awareness

HPV vaccination and cervical screening prevent cancer. UCF explains both in plain language and points people to the government schedule and to local facilities. The foundation does not sell vaccine.

School health

Age-appropriate sessions on tobacco, areca nut, and when to tell an adult about a health change. Materials will be cleared before they are used with children.

Women’s health

Breast and cervical education for women, with a private way to ask questions and a clear next step if a symptom is present. Sessions are not a substitute for examination.

Rural outreach

Teaching and screening plans for blocks where travel to a cancer centre is hard. Abnormal findings need a referral path back to a diagnostic service. That path is part of the plan, not an afterthought.

Mobile clinics

A mobile clinic is a staffed service, not a slogan. UCF will describe routes, services on board, and where a person is referred. Until a route is announced, this page is the programme aim, not a timetable.
